The existing concrete was ground down to level the floor and to provide a structural key. A 2mm thick resin layer was applied and into this a 100% flake scatter of flakes was installed. The flakes chosen were standard grey with a hint of azure blue. A 50mm cove detail was formed. After a light sand the flakes were sealed with a 1.5mm layer of UV100 clear sealer to provide a very smooth easy to clean surface.
Although they can bemore expensive than vinyl coverings, resin systems are very hardwearing, easy to clean and offer a unique appearance.
