A leak to a washing machine gave this client the perfect opportunity to replace a degraded vinyl with a hardwearing resin floor that sparkles.
The vinyl and underlying hardboard were replaced with plywood and a 3mm white resin finish. Jet black and slate grey flakes were set into the wet resin, the colours matching the worktop, with a liberal sprinkle of reflective holographic glitter. The finished floor provides a durable surface for a high-trafficked area whilst also allowing light to reflect and bounce off the floor giving the illusion of a kitchen larger that it actually is.
