Case study - Domestic Driveway

  • Client:
  • Domestic Driveway
  • Location:
  • Nailsea, Bristol
  • Project:
  • Resin Bound Surface Dressing to driveway
  • System:
  • 2-4mm Brittany Bronze incorporated into a 2.5mm resin dressing
  • Area Size:
  • 40sqm

As a dramatic change from finishing their driveway with standard block pavours this client chose a distinctive golden aggregate what was scattered into a buff resin binder. As the Addastone resin cures it forms a very strong adhesion around the stone leaving a textured finish that is ideal for driveway surfacing.

One of the main advantages of the system is that providing existing tarmac is concrete is in fair condition and structurally sound, it can be laid on directly, minimising inconvenience and disruption. Minor repairs can be broken out and infilled with epoxy repair mortars.

This driveway surfacing system is very low maintenance, as weeds can't grow and is ideally suited to a yearly powerwash to refresh the stones natural appearance.
